Magarpatta, Pune

Magarpatta is a 450 acre, gated community in the Hadapsar, Pune, India that grew out of an unusual experiment in urban planning. Magarpatta City is a 400-acre integrated township developed on farmland in Hadapsar, Pune by a cooperative of 120 farmer families. Instead of selling their land to outside developers, the farmers pooled it together to build a mixed-use township that combines residences, offices, retail and civic infrastructure within one boundary.

The township is a landmark self-contained township in Hadapsar, East Pune with pin code 411013, developed by the Magarpatta Township Development and Construction Company, integrating IT parks, residential towers, schools, hospitals and retail within a gated township. It houses well-known occupiers, with important organisations like WNS, Tata Communications, John Deere Technology Centre and many more based here.

Green cover was built into the master plan from day one. It has a commercial area, residential area, hospital with several specializations, a 25-acre urban park named Aditi Gardens, a shopping mall named Seasons Mall, a shopping complex named Destination Centre and schools, and around 30% of the area is made up of green cover. Construction that began in 2000 continues as of 2025, with the township steadily adding new residential blocks alongside its original phases.

Today Magarpatta sits at the heart of Pune's eastern IT corridor, flanked by Hadapsar, Kharadi and Amanora Park Town. This locality is near Kirtane Baugh, Bhosale Nagar and Amanora Park Town.
